Sunlight streamed through the trees, casting dappled shadows on the street as Halo and Bobo strolled along, each step quick and full of energy. Since they were young, they had a love for adventure, a knack for observation, and a talent for deduction. Today, with their special detective badges pinned proudly, they embarked on their very first official case.

Just as they passed the corner jewelry shop, a sudden commotion broke the street’s quiet. The jewelry store owner, pale and flustered, stumbled out, gasping, "My precious necklace is gone! This was my most valuable piece. How could it have just vanished?" He stared at his store in disbelief, glancing around in confusion.

Halo took this in with a slight smile and nodded to Bobo. "Let’s go." Calmly, he stepped forward, eyes scanning his surroundings, catching any potential clues.

Bobo, brimming with excitement, flashed his detective badge. “At last, a real chance for our detective team to shine!” He quickly followed Halo inside, his eyes gleaming with eagerness.

Inside the store, Halo first calmed the store owner. “Please, take a deep breath. We’ll help you find out what happened.” He then directed his attention to the display case, scrutinizing every detail. “The case is perfectly intact, with no signs of force,” he murmured. “This suggests the thief either had a tool to open it or, more likely, knew this place very well.”

Bobo’s sharp gaze swept over the floor. Suddenly, he knelt by the display case, noticing something. “Got it!” He pointed to a faint mark on the floor. “There’s some unusual dirt here—perhaps left by someone entering the store.”

Halo immediately activated his badge’s UV light function. “Let’s use the UV light to check for any fingerprints.” He shone the light over the counter near the window, spotting faint prints. “It seems the thief may have entered and exited through here,” he noted.

With the investigation progressing, Bobo discovered even more clues. Near the back door, he found some fresh, wet mud—similar in color to the dirt by the display case. “These tracks were likely made by the same person,” he analyzed, using his badge’s radio to inform Halo. “Big brother, there are muddy prints by the back door, leading outside.”

At that moment, Bobo caught sight of a shadow darting through the alley. He quickly alerted Halo, “Someone just ran down the alley!”

Reacting swiftly, Halo bolted toward the back door, his parkour skills kicking in as he vaulted over obstacles, weaving effortlessly through the narrow alleyways. Bobo followed closely, eyes scanning for any missed details, ensuring no clues were overlooked.

Finally, at the end of the alley, Halo cornered the figure. Bobo arrived shortly after, spotting the missing necklace clutched in the culprit’s hand. With the arrival of the police, the brothers handed over the thief, wrapping up their first case successfully.

Further investigation revealed that the thief was actually a friend of one of the jewelry store employees. Together, they conspired, using the employee’s knowledge of the shop’s blind spots in the security system to commit the theft. Halo explained calmly, “This was an inside job. With knowledge of the store and help from an insider, they avoided all the surveillance cameras, which allowed them to steal the necklace without a hitch.”

The jewelry store owner, overflowing with gratitude, shook Halo and Bobo’s hands. “Thank you both so much! The Halo & Bobo Detective Team lives up to its name!”

Halo smiled, patting his badge, “As long as Detective Halo is on the case, there’s no mystery too tough to solve!” Bobo, brimming with confidence, tapped his own badge and said, “Oh~~I see!” Their teamwork and keen detective skills were evident, and they felt excited about the future adventures awaiting the Halo & Bobo Detective Team.
